Now, we’re taking environmental sustainability to new heights with the introduction of our innovative Plant-a-Tree initiative.
Beginning September 2023, ONE TREE/NATIVE SHRUB will be planted for every carton of Sapphire Concentrate purchased.
Our new partnership with Carbon Neutral’s Plant-A-Tree program empowers us to work together in the ongoing effort to preserve and rejuvenate the environment and grows critical habitat for native wildlife and plays a role in building a sustainable future.
Carbon Neutral, one of the longest standing carbon offset providers in Australia, carries out large-scale revegetation of degraded farmlands through the planting of mixed native species in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. Since their inception over 20 years ago, more than 30 million trees have been planted. How the Sapphire Concentrates Plant-a-Tree program works.
For every carton (3 x 2.5L) of any Sapphire Concentrate purchased, Chemform purchases one tree through Carbon Neutral’s Plant-a-Tree program. Carbon Neutral carries out large-scale revegetation of degraded farmlands through the planting of mixed native species in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. Chemform will issue annual certificates to our customers, detailing the number of trees/native shrubs planted as a direct result of their purchases. These certificates can be proudly showcased, serving as a testament to your dedication to environmental sustainability.
We will generate an annual certificate outlining the number of trees/native shrubs planted. This includes:
1) Annual total.
2) Cumulative total since inception of the Plant-a-Tree initiative.
Why biodiverse reforestation projects matter.
Carbon offsets achieved through biodiverse reforestation not only extract CO2 from the air but also aid in rejuvenating ecosystems, as demonstrated by programs like Plant-a-Tree. Our partner, Carbon Neutral, have their main project planting area in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, located in the northern wheatbelt of Western Australia. The region has an exceptionally high number of plant and animal species. It has been identified as one of 36 global biodiversity hotspots for wildlife and plants, and the first to be recognised in Australia.
A number of factors cause the loss of habits over time, resulting in native species being under threat of extinction. Planting trees is part of a much larger vision – to connect the remaining vegetation with nature reserves to create a green corridor that will play a vital role in restoring ecosystems and preserve unique and threatened flora and fauna in the region. GECA approved products are the environmentally preferred and safer alternative. This recognition confirms compliance with the highest environmental standards, giving you peace of mind that you are making a positive impact.
Sapphire Concentrates are part of the stringent Chemform Green range of products. Products in this range contain no oil-based hydrocarbons, chlorine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, carcinogens, alkyl phenol ethoxylates or heavy metals. Products containing detergents are readily biodegradable and all products are classified as non-dangerous according to the Dangerous Goods Code, plus much more.
